About Me

Hello, welcome to firstmarathonrun.com.

This is Brian, a fun-running-man who finished 25 Full Marathon races and failed 4. Running is my favorite hobby, I started leisure running after college and joined some 10K and Half Marathon races around 25 years ago. My first Full Marathon was in 1997, which I finished just a few minutes before the time limit of the race.

While I have completed 25 Full Marathon races, every race seems like a first time to me. That’s what keep me excited to join over and over again.

This website is built for what I enjoy most and for those runners who want to join and finish his or her first marathon race for whatever reasons. While I am not a coach or trainer in running, I have the passion to help runners finish his or her first marathon. I will share tips, based on my own experience and my research online, on what’s needed to finish a first marathon, wishing every first time marathon runner will cross the finish line and enjoy the experience that lasts for your whole life.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

    • Hi Junior,
Thanks for your comments. Please understand this is a new site created for less than 3 weeks. Definitely I will take your advice and keep improving the contents as well as the design of this site.
      All the best!

  2. A great website for a 75 year old guy who has never run a marathon. I have a young friend who runs marathons and he has peaked my interest.

    • Hey Roger,

Thank you for visiting my site.

Glad to know your young friend runs marathon. Though you may think of yourself too old for running a marathon, you may consider to have a brief jogging daily as it is good to your health.

      All the best!
